My Chicago Semester program has finished and I am now embarking on my next adventure. Well, I will prepare for it for the next month and then I will jet set off to Thailand. I am planning on working at home for the next month and then off to a new country, a new experience, a new life.
For those who don't know, I will leave January 28th for a two month excursion to Thailand to volunteer with an orphanage. I am going through the Global Service Corps and will mainly teach English classes. The whole idea is still foreign to me. I know I am going and the process has been long and somewhat painful, but it still has not completely hit me yet. I am going to Thailand. I am done with college and am moving on. I have been done with college for a long time. This past semester in Chicago has taught me that. I feel older. I am ready for work and for life after college; good thing I am done then, huh?
My Thailand process has been moving along slowly. My funding is in and my paperwork has gone through. I am now in the last stages...applying for my visa and getting travelers insurance. Next, packing, preparing, goodbyes, and the flight. Then, adventure, experience, adorable children, teaching, heat, passion (hopefully), growth, and much more.
I am hoping to keep this blog updated with my adventures, but we all saw how much I updated my Chicago blog. So, we will see.
